The power of Jazz.net

Last week I discovered a bug in Rational Quality Manager V4.  The Testcase Execution Record (TCER) now allows you to input data into the progress and estimate fields. However, the tool does not allow the progress field to be reset to zero (0) after being filled in and saved.

I raised this as a defect on Jazz.net on the 10th July. The defect was triaged the same day with some helpful workarounds put forward as a solution.

More importantly, on the 11th July, I was informed that the RQM code had been fixed and the fix will be included in the next RQM code drop.

So after less than 24 hours, my bug has been fixed!

More details here.
